Round One in the Harrison Room was a huge success for the MFC P&PP&OA, complete with past players and officials, family groups and friends, all set for a great day at the game.
It was a fantastic atmosphere, with nearly 150 in the room, and much anticipation for the season ahead. As P&PP&OA Chairman Rod Grinter said in his pre-game address, ‘One of the most important roles of this group is to provide support and benevolence, and the number of people in the room today show that it’s happening.’
While the result on the ground didn’t go the way we had all hoped, with Port Adelaide taking the honours by 26 points, it was a great chance for those in the room to catch up, and to re-establish connections. The next special occasion – Round Ten (26 May), when we take on the Giants. More details will follow.
