The ‘Olympic Premiers’ of 1956 - legends of #melbournefc, and it is with heavy hearts that we farewell another of their number. Jim Sandral, 1956 premiership player, Ovens and Murray legend, MFC Life Member 2023. We send our most sincere thoughts and condolences to Jim’s family, to his many friends, and to his former teammates. We will be farewelling both Jim Sandral and Clyde Laidlaw in the coming days and weeks: below is the information for their funerals. The funeral for Jim Sandral will be held at St Mary’s Star of the Sea Catholic Church, 23 Parade Place, Corowa (NSW), this Thursday (18 July), starting at 10 am. The funeral for Clyde Laidlaw will be held at the Mount Waverley Uniting Church, 482 High Street Road, Mount Waverley, on Wednesday 24 July, starting at 2 pm.
